Public entry Funeral Director
July 18, 2008 @ 02:59:04 pm
I'm considering becoming a funeral director. I've been to a few funerals and found them to be very positive things, a great chance for closure and a final farewell to the deceased.

I think I'd really like to be there providing a service for those people going through a tough time, and I think it could be good.

So I'm going to look into it once I finish university.

It's nice that there are people in the world who want to do this...
but do you really know what you are getting into?
Dunno, it could start to get more than a little depressing for you.
..more power to you though, whatever you choose!

I could do work experience in it, and I don't think I'd find it depressing, I find funerals positive.

That's a good thing! Perhaps you've found your calling.

Does it pay well, do you know?

It depends really, if you own your own bussiness then it could potentially pay very well or very bad.

Good for you! A good funeral director can make the entire process so much easier on the family of a decedent

I think that's good. It takes a special person to be a funeral director. I don't know that I could do it. I say follow your heart!
