Right-o... friday was cool. Brett came over, we went to chem ( i think i aced the quiz, i'll find out today), mathcounts (where brett did some of the hardest problems there and got them right whereas our team captain didn't) and the cafe, where we went for a walk and got pulled over by cops who thought we were vandals. long story.
anyways... saturday, brett's dad came at like 7:45... my dad and i went to my friend benny's bar mitzvah, then my dad dropped me off at the party. it was ok... the music selection was crap, the only good song they played was white and nerdy by weird al. to which i know all the lyrics. i didn't dance much, and left wishing i had (since i will likely NEVER see any of those kids again), which is always what happens to me when i go to dances. i hung out with my friend shyah and her younger brother jacob, which was fun. i met this awesomely cool kid named Dash, who i hung out with for a while. There was a girl there named Holly... something-that-starts-with-an-"I" who i talked to for a little while... in hindsight, if i was going to ask one person to dance, now i wish it was her. but oh well. nothing i can do about it now.
now that i think about it... i only danced to the Hora (mandatory), the macarena (shyah made me!!), and white and nerdy (to which dash and i attempted to best each other in moonwalks). there was this thing called "ladies choice" where the girls could ask any guy they wanted to dance, and he couldn't say no. there were about... 7-8 more girls than guys, and yet dash, jacob, and i didn't get asked... which is probably a good thing because it gave us an excuse not to ask anyone during the "guys choice" dance. i would have asked holly, maybe, but within like three seconds of the guys choice thing starting, she had been asked already... and i was definitely not going to ask her to dance without an excuse (e.g. i need someone to dance with for the guys choice thing).
anyways, enough about the party. sunday school was cool yesterday, the kids in my cla** (i teach remedial hebrew) did well, and i spent the afternoon playing chess with a friend. then we stopped by the cafe for a little cleaning and headed home. we cleaned a little bit, then rented a movie called "the new world" which was terrible, but gave me something to do for the evening cuz i had nothing else to do.
anyways, chem test on friday, math test this afternoon so i gtg for now.
