You were working on a paper for 7 hours and didn't save it once?

How would it let you save to a corrupted file?

if the file was currupt, wouldnt that mean you wouldnt be abile to open it, and even if it did open, wouldnt the comp tell you it was currupt?

The situation she described can't happen, so there's no use trying to dissect and understand it

I don' know, some how it did. It was saving onto the email, and then the email was corrupted. so basically i saved it all the time onto a dwnloaded file on an email. but when i switched my comp off. The email went, and it wasnt on my hard drive on my comp

"Saving onto an email" doesn't mean anything. You can't even do that.

Well now I am for sure confused. So you saved the original email and then saved ontop of that?

wouldnt this "email" still be on your email providers servers, emails dont delete themselfs unless you tell them to, or they are in a junk/bin folder

ahhh don't ask me, my dad is an expert on computors.

when u dwnload an email, it comes up with a file saying "save" "open"? right? well i clicked save, it didnt work, i then clicked open, and my work came up, i worked on it for 7 hours, saving it, my computor crashed, and then "recovery" network tried to save my work, but it was doing it AS i was working, so everytime it saved some, it deleted my new bits.

Well saving it should have stored a copy somewhere on your computer. I wouldn't see why not.
