Über Master Debater 8461 points | My cousin's wedding July 01, 2008 @ 02:47:31 am 0 Kudos | I love my cousin. I really do. But she is being a real pain.
First, I have to buy a dress she swore I would love. That's a lie. Sure it's better than the other bridesmaids dresses I've had to wear but there is no way I would ever pick this myself.
Then I have to wear shoes that I hate because my shoes just have to match my dress. So now I'm the owner of shoes that I will never wear again to match a dress I will never wear again. Great. To top it off, the shoes are too small. She didn't ask me what size I really wore. She just caused my mom. And because she didn't want to risk our shoes being different from each other, she just had to handled all that herself.
Then of course, I fould out a couple days ago that I am not to do a thing with my hair. Her mom is a hairdresser so she will be doing everyone's hair. Ummmm... shouldn't MOB be more concerned with other things? I can't think of any right now but if I was the MOB, the bridal party's hair would be at the bottom of my list.
Then it's been a nightmare doing her wedding programs. For a person who went to college, her writing gives me a headache. The grammar, the spelling. OMG!! Everytime she gets another draft of thing, she is always pointing out things she believes is wrong. Nooo. It's not wrong. You're wrong. And you want to be a doctor!?
We're not going into how she feels the need to needle herself into my life. I really need to let that go. I know she was just trying to be helpful but grrrr .
The last straw lately is my nails. She actually wants me to go out and get fake nails just for her wedding. She says she wants me to get them because everyone else in the bridal party is getting them. #1: Everyone else in the bridal party are girly girls. #2: I had them before. I like my real nails better. #3: My job does not allow fake nails. They're a health risk. Why should I jeopardize my job and the health of my clients for her wedding? Who will actually pay attention to MY nails? We actually had a falling out about that Saturday.
*sigh* I keep telling myself that it will be all over on the 5th. That and things will be soooo different when it's my turn. Hopefully if she's smart, she'll keep her mouth shut during that time. If not, she better watch out.1 comments | Reply |

Über Master Debater 8461 points | I have a crush on a coworker? Why wasn't I told this? June 14, 2008 @ 11:07:52 pm 0 Kudos | I just informed awhile ago by a coworker, Stacy, that another coworker, Amanda, believes I have a crush another coworker, Mitchell. This is complete news to me. Amanda believes this to be fact because I always feel the need to be "normal" around Mitchell. Yes, I do feel the need to be normal around Mitchell but that's because he takes my weirdness more... to heart . Whenever I'm weird around him, he always gives me the same weird look my dad gives me. All my other coworkers just laugh off my weirdness.
I worked with him Thursday. The last time I worked with him was months before then. If I really had a crush on him, I probably would have been dropping by the shop all the time just to see him. Instead it didn't faze me. I work with him again this Thursday. Instead of jumping for joy, I'm wondering why all of a sudden we are being scheduled together.
The only peoeple I really get really get excited about seeing and/or working with are Amanda and another male coworker, Cliff. So wouldn't it make more sense to say that I have a crush on her and Cliff?
*sigh* This is so high school.
In reality, it's Amanda that has a crush on a coworker. She is so love with Lee that it's pathetic. I have a rule: Never show up at the shop on your day off unless it's to fill out some paperwork or to get your paycheck straightened out. I have never showed up at the shop on my day off all guzzed up just to talk and flirt with a coworker. I have other things to do.
This whole thing is so funny to me. No offense to Mitchell but he's just not my type.
Maybe Amanda is just trying to pin her own offenses onto someone else.2 comments | Reply |

Debater 5707 points | Ferd's Blog June 10, 2008 @ 09:22:26 pm 0 Kudos | Hi! My name is Ferd (aka Ferdinand, aka Ferd The Turd). I am a studly, large, black 4 year old neutered male cat. I am staying with my friend, Sheri, while my owner, John (aka Johnny Hollywood) tours with his band.
I would like to start off by saying that I hate Sheri, and she's a bitch. My owner lets me outside. Sheri won't. She keeps spouting some inane bulls**t about it not being safe to let cats outside. I plan on clawing her eyes out while she's sleeping, or at least, getting in the cupboards and messing up s**t.
My "roommates" are... a stupid cat thay call Stubbie. He thinks he's the s**t, but I knocked some sense into his dumb-a** real quick-like. The second is HUGE fat cat named Anna. All she does is sleep and bitch. Typical woman. The third is an ancient geriatric cat named Thomas. He spends his time sleeping, eating and s**tting nuclear waste in the cat box. I don't know what good he is except for fumigation.
So, I've spent my day being incredibly pissy. I snort and smack when I'm upset, so everyone's had a piece of me today. I hear my owner called and asked how I was doing, and that Sheri-bitch had the nerve to tell him I was doing fine! Fine? FINE??? I'm living in a house full of morons, and she says I'm FINE???
I'm going to crawl under the covers on the bed, get hair everywhere, and continue to be mad. Ferd out.5 comments | Reply |

Debater 5707 points | Stoopid People And Their Dead Trees!!! May 22, 2008 @ 02:49:44 pm 0 Kudos | My neighbor has a very large (a good 15 ft. taller than my house), very dead tree on his property. It's just on his side of the fenceline. Last night, we had a fierce storm with 70 mph. winds. Big chunks of his tree were breaking off and hitting our house. If the tree were to ever fall, it would ruin my house. It's too close to his house to fall on it, and the entire tree has started leaning towards our house.
I have mentioned on past occasions that he needs to remove it, but he keeps telling me it's OUR tree!!! When I asked him how he came to that conclusion, he said the tree leans onto our property, therefore, it's ours. ??? He said he's have it removed if we paid half of the removal costs! The real irony is, he works (on occasion) for a tree removal company! I'm sure they would do it cheaply if he asked.
I called the City, who said they could remove it, but don't like to mess with trees on private property if they don't have to. They charge the homeowners for removal, and they have a hard time collecting. I explained that the neighbor wasn't being cooperative, and I didn't see any other option.
I kind of feel like a bitch. Plus, I just noticed a mama bird has her babies in a hole up high, and I don't want them killed. 15 comments | Reply |
