Was anyone a Brownie or a Guide when they were a kid?

Kat's just bought a leaflet home from schoo about joining the guides and loads of memories came flooding back.
I had such a great time in the Brownies and Guides, pack holidays, cooking, open fires, camping etc.

I looked well smart in my little air hostess cap when I was in the guides

When I was in the Brownies I was a kelpie sixer and a complete bully

	I was in the girls brigade. I learned to tie my own shoe laces there. I had been trying to find the same piece of apparatus to teach the boys for ages then when I was in scotland there was a ELC and they had one. Funny thing is I just realised I could have just given them a shoe!

	I once went out with a guide! we got drunk on thunderbirds wine and she did a brownie in my bed! I still see her from time to time and she goes bright red! and I roll about the floor laughing

	The guide uniform was great, all navy blue with a air stewardess cap....I remember going on a camping trip and breaking into someone back garden and skinny dipping in their pool, peeing in bushes and living off the land...great fun. I remember getting drunk to and marrying my friend and her teddy...you dont learn life skills like that any more
