October 09, 2008 @ 01:57:58 am I can't believe I haven't written a journal since July. I have been in and out of TFS to log in and chat shortly with pals, but I really haven't had time to actually post something, lol. Well lately I seem way overtired, stressed, and busy. I just received more hours at work (from 17 hours per week to 37 hours per week)! So it's a big change... Also, I'm taking more college classes, so between work and school, it's crazy. Other than that my life is just focused on sleeping and eating. I have no social life I don't think I've ever had a social life Sometimes it sucks, but in times like these, I don't give a crap! I just feel bad sometimes when I don't talk to my friends, especially on TFS. Man, I'm not a good friend at all... or maybe that's because I don't see my old friends at all, so I just forget to call?? But doesn't a phone work both ways?? As for the TFS friends, well... I'm not sure why I don't get on here to talk more often... oh yeah I'm working.. It's also because I don't have internet at home.. Whatever.... I'm just in a weird, tired, and depressed, yet sugar high happy sort of mood. So if any of my rambling made sense, well then yay!! If not, I understand. I've been so busy with school and work, I hardly have any time to myself. I'm actually getting really interested in my intercultural communications class. I've been learning about all the different cultures and their history. It's sparked my interest in my background too. So far classes are going good and so is work On Friday, my work is going to another one of our college campuses and we are going to walk 3 miles to raise money for 2 animal shelters. Then we will have a cook-out. Other than that, I'm just trying to get enough sleep Hope everyone is doing good.. She was walking down the stairs when she suddenly heard (and felt) a 'snap' sound from her foot. She crawled up the stairs and then fell down while she was in the bathroom. Luckily I had woken up before she fell in the bathroom and I helped her get to her room. After a little while I took her to urgent care and we found out she had fractured her 5th Metatarsal (which is the bone that turns into your pinky toe farther down the foot). So she had a splint put on and we made an appointment to see an orthopedic doctor the next day. So today we confirmed that it was a fracture and found that this injury takes the longest time to heal. So we're talking months people! Luckily mom was able to get a walking cast, though she's still in a lot of pain. The problem was, we had to go to another clinic to get the cast, because the first clinic has had supply problems for a couple weeks and they didn't have any supplies!!! So we've been driving around all day and then I had to work tonight. But of course tonight is a very, very busy night... So I feel like I'm about to drop dead at the moment. I'm so tired.. So I hope that my week will be a little better after this unfortunate event... Though my day is looking up, I get this Thursday off work!! well I'm off! BYE!!! I worked a lot and yesterday I went to my cousin's grad party. There was a lot of food and it was fun. May 31, 2008 @ 02:54:33 pm Well I got last Saturday off from work and went up north to my Grandma's cabin! It was really great up there.. surrounded by nature and hanging out on the private lake I also got to go to the Casino for the first time, lol. Lets just say it was really fun, but very smokey.. I had a pretty good time, but there were some problems. The weather decided to be evil and there were 3-4 tornadoes down where I live.. Luckily our house didn't get hit, but my Uncle's house and truck got lots of damage.. May 02, 2008 @ 07:52:22 pm From exhaustion... I've been working and running (driving) around a lot this week and I'm about to fall over.. and the bad thing is I still have to work tomorrow... Today alone, we had the fire alarm go off, where we had to call the cops because we believe someone pulled it. Then there was an emergency that had me running across the building to get one of my bosses to handle it. I'm just so tired... The only good thing coming up is tomorrow night.. My mom got some Twins baseball tickets for her b-day, so we will join some of my family members and go to the game. The great thing is we also get to go on the field and meet the players!!! This beats the last busiest month ever, March 2008, that had over 85,000 posts. Additionally, more than 2/3rds of the busiest days ever were in April. April 14, 2008 @ 08:34:00 pm Recently, my boss asked if I had another PT job and if I wanted to come back to get my BA degree. I told him that working at the college was my only job and that I really wanted my BA degree, but I would need my hours to be bumped up to 25 hours per week. Well, my boss totally agreed that I had a crappy amount of hours (17 per week) and he said that if I really wanted to my BA then he would see if I could get more hours!!! The great thing about this is that not only do I get more money and free tuition (only have to pay for books), I also will get healthcare and vacation time!!! *jumps for joy* I hope I do get 25 hours, cause I really need it right now... A week or so ago, my dad had to drop our health insurance, so we can't get sick or injured any time soon.
