I've always lived by the ideal that, by creating something, we are manifesting our future. Even in death, we are able to live on in the things that we create - no matter how mundane, stupid, or assonine we think they are in life.

People have children so that a part of them lives on. Shakespeare wrote masterpieces that live on through the ages. Creation, no matter what form, is eternal. Sustenance, I guess, is the key?
