Went in work from 6am-11am then nipped home to pick my kit up, and then it was off to the pub to meet the rest of the players

The event at Huddersfield was for the sponsors of The Giants really. They hold it every year and this was the 2nd one i'd played in. It's a 7-a-side Tag-Rugby comp, ith teams made up of employees of the main sponsors workplaces. Non of our team work for the company we played as tho haha!!

Unlike last year we had two pro players:

Michael De Vere And Mat Gardner





We drew our 1st game, won the next two, then got beat in our last so we just missed out on the final

In our 1st game i 'accidently' smashed the Giants' new prop-forward Keith Mason and in our 3rd game Paul Reilly tried to restart the game a little too quickly for my liking after we'd scored a try. So he got the bosh followed by a firm head-lock, which he wasn't too happy about In that game the opposition had 5 pro players and we still beat them. At one point they had, Robbie Paul, Paul Reilly, Martin Aspinwall and Stuart Jones on the pitch at the same time!! Cheeky buggers haha!!

In one game we played against Wayne McDonnald and Eorl Crabtree, both 6'6" props haha!! I cherped in with "Watch dumb & dumber!" which they didn't find so amusing haha!! Wayne was a big moaner and at one point i said "pick you're fcuking dummy up!!" to him... which he moaned about

Steven Wild was one of the orst cheaters i've ever seen haha!! he kept throwing the tags away so we had to treck to get them back

After our games we hit the showers then headed to the Panasonic Suite for our meal, which was nice. Along with a well deserved pint

Got home about 7.30pm and chilled out on my bed watching TV before falling asleep. My legs were aching this morning as that as the 1st time we'd played for about a month now haha!
