September 30, 2008 @ 06:18:36 pm | So I was talking with my mom, and telling her about how my husband started his own business which was going well, and how some of my websites were doing well, etc. But everything I mentioned she was like, "Oh, he's doing a *new* job now, huh? I wonder how long *that'll* last..." and about my websites I told her I have a certain amount of money they make me every month which I was happy about, since it's all pretty much without me having to do anything after I set it up, and she says that I'm too "money focused", and I've got it all backwards, I should find a hobby I enjoy first, and then make money from that.
It was like I couldn't say anything without it being made negative by her. So I asked her why she was being like that, and she said, she thought I wasn't happy, and she was confused. While it's true there are things in my life I'm not happy about, that's not ALL I want to focus on, a person would go insane focusing only on the negative. And so she says, "I´m not the judge over anyones wasted potentials or perceived notions of a happy life." WTF? How condescending! And when I asked her to explain having made such a condescending statement, she says, all innocent like, "I'm your mother, all I said was that I wanted the best for you." I'm like, Um, no that's not what you said, you said my life was wasted, and that you should let me kid myself with pathetic attempts at justification for it. And she got all upset saying I was spitting on her trying to be loving, and she "couldn't win" and that she was leaving, which she did.

I made a backup of all the files in My documents, including all my program set up files, and copied them over to my other computer, and then did a fresh installation of XP, and now I'm transferring my documents back onto my laptop. This ought to get rid of all the weird quirks my laptop had. Like How every time I'd start up my computer, the C: folder would pop up by itself, or how incredibly slow it was! August 28, 2008 @ 09:10:08 pm | So today I had my pregnancy glucose test, Ugh! It made me feel gross. Not too bad, but still, that's a lot of sugar! 50 grams of glucose in one sitting! I didn't even know it was gonna be today, she just walked in with the familiar orange liquid and told me to start chuggin, lol.
My meeting with the nurse was funny! She swore like a sailor! "Oh, that food pyramid's all f**ked up, ignore this, ignore that, they're all bought out over there..." Definitely not what I was expecting to hear! lol. I agree with what she was saying about the food pyramid, I just never expected to hear that from a state employee, lol. She was quite the character.
Then we went to an all you can eat buffet, to I tried not to eat much carbs or any sugar, and tried to balance out the sugar with some salt to help my body deal with the glucose test.
Tonight I have a web cla** I need to attend. It starts at the same time that Barack Obama starts his speech accepting his nomination, Rrrr. I really want to watch that, but I've paid for these classes, so I'll be doing that instead. Maybe I can have the TV on in the background or something.
My husbands business is going really well, he has lots of appointments lined up for fixing people's appliances, so that's great 2 comments | Reply |

August 04, 2008 @ 06:10:26 pm | We've been looking for a dining table set for our new apartment, and so yesterday I found a really nice set about 30 miles from our place but at a really good price, simple, but solid wood, and in very good condition. So we go down there, pick up the table, tie it to the roof of the car, and put the chairs in the back. So the whole way home, I'm all paranoid about every single sign over the road, thinking we're gonna hit something and ruin the table. But amazingly, we get to our apartment complex no harm done. We pull into our parking lot, and then...pull into our COVERED parking stall, and hear CRACK!  Low and behold, two of the legs are cracked and bent. *sigh*7 comments | Reply |

June 27, 2008 @ 09:03:44 pm | I was suppose to be going to sweden this weekend but my father was ill and I wanted to stay with my family, anyway, I have just been told that if I can get everything sorted I have a baysitter for next weekend so looks like I am going to still see my mates band tour around Europe.

June 15, 2008 @ 03:51:33 pm | but I feel incredibly down and lonely today. There is no real reason to be. I went out with the kids earlier and met with a friend for a late pub lunch. But there is something missing. Something s missing today and I just can't put my finger on it.
