I live in Monterey CA, its a small town about 2 hours south of San Francisco.

We have one british pub in town and neither my wife or I had ever been there, so we made a date and tried it out.

My wife and I are frequent drinkers she drinks chilled Tequela and I drink Jager. Niether of us have had any of the beers on there beer list.

This is what we tried in order.

wife: Ciderx1, Lagerx1, then something they called "snake bite" x 2 which was a mix of lager and cider, she seemed to like that. She called it "sweet budlight".

Me: I started with something called "Old Hen" which was discusting. Then i went to black and tanx3 ... 1st time having black and tan. Not sure what was in it, but it was quite tasty.

We also sat next to this couple from London that was touring America from one coast to another and we talked with them most of the night. They told me that "snake bite" was agenst the law to sell combined cause it gets you "pissed" (there words) really fast.

We talked about all the stuff they had seen in america and the one comment that stuck out and my wife laughed at it for days after.

The britsh chick said " What the f**k is corn dog , someone gave me one and its a bloody sassage on a lolly, I didn't know if I should lick it or bite it." She was totaly serious, omg i laughed soo hard.
