| Boy it was a long day... So I took my parents "into the big city" to go to Sam's Club. OMG it was funny.
So, normally, my father drives on the interstate like he has a split personality. He alternates between the rabbit and the turtle... so his "average" speed is really rather slow This trip I drove, and ofcourse we get there in record time... I like to drive fast And this is the perfect stretch of highway for it.
So we get there, and I have a cart, because I'm getting stuff for our house, and they are getting stuff for them. They each end up with one, so we have three between us, this is going to be fun. After all what better way to spend their stimulus check, than buying three (yes 3) of the world's largest tubs of Foldgers Coffee I have ever seen! Yay! for stimulation with coffee!!! Oh, lots of other stuff was bought too, but that was the funniest.
Now I am an only child, and I distinctly remember no back talk or arguing was allowed when I was little, especially in a store. Spanking may have occurred, but mostly I was sent to the car with one parent, or we even all went home. Misbehavior was not allowed, and I'm a quick learner. Good little girls got toys if they were lucky...bad girls got nothing. So when my parents got in a joking fight over which cereal to buy. I threatened to send them to the car!!!
(Dad had about 10 boxes of cereal at home, but thought he needed more... Mom usually does the shopping, he was just awed by the huge boxes of raisin bran. Mom won the "argument", as she was really out of Cheerios. Luckily, my parents don't really fight, and it was all in good silly fun.)
So after Sam's it is decided to have dinner. And so we go out for pizza and diet coke. Haven't had a good Dion's special in a while! Yummy!!!
We drive way back out to their house and unload, and I visit for while, as Mom shows me all her craft projects, before I know it is almost dark, and I still have to drive the 60 some miles back to my house. So off I go.
Did I mention, how I enjoy driving fast? Sigh it is nice on a long straight road in the middle of the land of enchantment. with the stereo blaring and nothing but darkness, me, my car, and my ipod. I realized I really do like my new car, nevermind, it's been a little over a year since I got it. I still miss my old car, even though I drove her to death... She was a good car, and she was mine, from her 13th mile to her last...
Anyway, I finally get home, log on, and I see there was a huge funny kudos orgy here.... And I see, I got none..not a one... not one banana hammock, nor a strawberry thong, or not even a lemon knickers. Apparently, I've been kudos whoring to the wrong crowd!!!! Current Music: Hollaback Girl
