i called the number to activate it

well i called the number to activate windows and they told me i needed the product key to activate it and to change the product key too and i dont know what it is cuz i got this computer from a pawnshop and windows was already activated when i did it and i told the guy i talked to that and he said that i am going to have to go out buy windows xp and i was just wondering cuz my mom has it on her computer i dont know if its the same version but if i used the product key for hers would that work so i can reactivate it

	Usually there is a sticker on the computer with the key on it.

	well i found the product key on the side of the computer and i called the customer service number and gave them the product key and they told me it was invalid and so now i have to call dell and get a new product key and call them back and do it again this s**t is starting to piss me off.
