Trouble is now I am 26 and the want to smoke is back with a vegence. Its always been there but now I actually found myself at the counter of the local supermarket ready to buy ciggies before I came to my senses!

I know and at the moment its the only thing thats keeping my off them

Didn't help when I spoke to my Dad and all he said was "You have quit once and there is plenty of time left to quit again if you started again!"

I enjoy smoking, pity it's bad for you and means when I play football I get out of breath. Otherwise i'd definately smoke.

Proud of you and your Will power. Yes, as you stated, think of the time you have been smoke-free. No more smelly clothes or smelly breath. No more dirty ashtrays, no more smoker's hack, no more worrying about bothering others around you that don't smoke. So much to think of... Keep strong!

Stay strong. Cigarettes are yucky. I broke down and had one last year and my throat hurt the rest of the day. It so was not worth it even though I was overly stressed.

I still try and stay away from cigs. I quit when I was pregnant, and since I had my daughter in January, I have had a few stressful times and broke down and had a smoke.
But I am still a non smoker and plan on keeping it that way. What I did notice though was that when I gave in and had a smoke, I went for the harshest one's there were and they made me sick. In turn that helped to keep me from wanting to smoke again.
