General 248 points | | Sometimes, I don't think age is as big a deal as people make it out to be. Maturity levels are much more of a determining factor in people's compatibility. I'm 26, and my fiance is 42. We've been together for 4 years and have a 2 year old daughter together. So, the age difference isn't so important as long as you are both comfortable with it. Just my two sense. |

Über-Meister 2491 points | Thank u all very much 4 ur input I totally agree with the maturity thing & that is part of the thing with this young man, he is so mature for his age & very, very smart!!! He doesn't think a man should ever abuse a woman, & he thinks men should willingly support their children so a court wouldn't necessarily have 2 b involved I would have loved it if my children's father had that attitude toward it, he was court ordered to pay 75/ wk which at the time was a very low rate 4 the # of kids we had, and he only ever made 2 payments & never offered 2 help support them in any way what so ever I appreciate the advice from the man who thinks it isn't that great an idea also Believe me, I am not rushing into anything; I haven't even dated n about
5 yrs, so there's really no hurry for me He is a good friend & is moving n a few months 2 go 2 college in Texas I want the best 4 him & plan 2 stay n touch with him I don't know what will come of our relationship, I only know how I feel about him & how he appears 2 feel about me Thx again everyone 4 ur comments!!! |

Ogler 22246 points | I would personally advise you to keep him as a friend and no more.
He is barely legal. |

Über-Meister 2491 points | Yeah, a lot of them r that way, but not this young man He comes from a very big family (8 kids) and that may have something to do with his values Not really sure. It could also have something to do with the fact that his family is from Cameroon? He was born n the states n Texas, but his family came here before that (I think about 5 yrs b4 his birth). I have never met anyone as young as him who is as mature as he is. When I first met him I thought he was about 25 or so because he seemed so responsible & mature When he told me how old he
was I kept asking him, "Are u really 18?" Until he finally showed me his id!!! He is great even if we only remain friends |
