Busiest month ever!
May 01, 2008 @ 09:12:40 am
April 2008 was my busiest month ever with over 120,000 post! This beats the last busiest month ever, March 2008, that had over 85,000 posts. Additionally, more than 2/3rds of the busiest days ever were in April.

There will soon be in excess of 2.2 million posts and 40,000 accounts.

What Nationality Do I Look Like?
April 26, 2008 @ 11:01:17 pm
I've had some very diverse suggestions as to what country I seem to be from, and I would like to know where TFS'ers think my ancestry originates.

AP Math class Ruins lives
February 14, 2008 @ 06:56:50 am
sitting in math cla** today, after deciding that i would have to switch out because it was too hard and what it meant to my future, i thought to myself ” what if i’m just not cut out for a life of success” with so much focus on succeeding today it is obvious that not all of us will make it, so why not just relax and let the people who deserve it take the lead. i also think that its unfair that my performance as a teenager should affect the outcome of my life. i mean, we are at the peak of confusion here and they expect us to put that aside and think of the futures we probably wont have, strive towards the goal we wont reach. and in the end be let down and be forced to settle into our lives working the desk job in your cubicle with the picture of the window drawn in purple crayon. if your that lucky, see because you dropped out of mixed math in grade 11 means you cant GET that job because you are OBVIOUSLY not able to do math, not that we ever use a parabola again in everyday life or could remember it at that point in our lives, but that doesn’t matter because you needed to know it 12 years ago to be able to pass. anyways, i’m headed for my life of banality. see you there.

Police Officer Shot
December 31, 2007 @ 12:22:23 pm
Apparently this morning a police officer got shot in the leg about a mile from where I live, which is surprising seeing as Bamber Bridge has hardly any violent crime occurring (although its not the first shooting around here ever).

The Future - A Thought
December 16, 2007 @ 05:12:54 pm
I think that over the next century, religion will wane, leaving the two last ideologies, anarchist-communism and capitalism, with anarchism eventually winning (its inevitable - society has always moved leftwards through history). In a 100 years time, nations will have little meaning, people won't be restrained by religious rules. People will be far more equal - women won't have to be obedient little housewifes, gay people will be able to kiss in public without fear of violence and patriotism will die, leaving internationalism to help the world, rather than petty nationalistic feeling.

I GOT MY GENETIC TESTS REULTS BACK TODAY!
December 11, 2007 @ 09:29:33 pm
And my Y chromosome ancestry (which is the same for your dad, your grandad, your great grandad and all the way back)is from Haplogroup I1a, which basically means I descend from Vikings (most likely Norwegian ones, which they went to Lancashire).

December 09, 2007 @ 07:01:59 pm
Does anyone have any information about this surname, especially if that information is about Hertfordshire in the 1700s? Its apparently in my family tree, but I can't find any information about the surname.

My Predictions for tonights Euro 2008 games
November 21, 2007 @ 01:25:36 pm
England vs Croatia - I can see England just scraping past Croatia, possibly with a late winner. 2-1 to England

Spain vs N. Ireland - I don't see any other result other than a Spanish victory. 4-0 to Spain.

Sweden vs Latvia - I don't know much about Latvia, but I do know they probably won't have much of ahcnce tonight. 3-1 to Sweden.

Germany vs Wales - Wales are not to be underestimated, and I can see a score draw here. 2-2 draw.
