My friend's first time in London

Last week I had a friend over... Diego. We used to be school friends and we've been friends for long time now, but when I decided to move to the big city from the little town where I'm from, many people though I was crazy , and many People decided that I didn't care about them any more because I was leaving. It is not easy to keep in touch after moving to a different country and going back home not more than 3 times a year... But the good friends will remain and I've never been so sure about it then now, I rediscovered my friend Diego this year in May when we had a meet up in Paris for 4 days and we talked just about everything that happen in about 1 year (it's impressive how little time I have every time I go back)... He found out he is gay, so many things have changed and no time to notice them. After couple of weeks I went back to Italy and I reserved a whole 2 days to my friends. and last week he came over to visit the city and see my new house, but most importantly spend time together... We have grown up since school years, we have taken different routes in our lives but still, the good friends will never lose each other. I am so happy of all the time spent together and of all the talking we have done... I know many people live abroad and I would like to know how they deal with it how do you keep in touch with friends back home? it's never easy but always brings you surprises.!
