I was told by an ex officer who i worked with at Ann Summers, that being in the force, changed her and her relationship, that seeing dead bodies, and the evil in people made her not want to give cuddles, or kisses.
I'm worried that it will happen with me and Paul, we keep arguing and i have a short fuse at the moment. I'm working all the time and i never see him, when im free, hes working as an officer. I don't know what to do! I don't want to lose him, but we are both getting sick of each other at the moment! It doesn't help that we havn't slept in the same bed for 3 months! | |

Also my dad's a police officer and I don't think it's affected him too badly, I suppose it depends how bad the area that he works in is.
Couples go through bad patches, I feel like I wanna gouge gregs eyes out with a spoon at times, so I wouldn't worry too much. |

Well he had his first fatal road traffic accident yesterday, being in Guernsey nothing realy bad happens. I just worry it will turn him like she said it turned her! |

How comes your on Guernsey rather than England, and is there anyway you can get a council place. I'm assuming you're in a shared house? not that your actually completely living out that space? |

Do you see yourself with this guy in 10 years time?
Can you be honest with him?
Are you both open about your feelings?
Do you really love him?
How devastated would you be if you split up?
There are so many questions you should ask yourself. If you love him and would do anything to be with this guy then that is great, if that is what you want. But do not get into the situation that you are trapped and can't see a clear way out.

88 points | | My OH has been in the police for 16 years and he can still manage cuddles and kisses. He works in Glasgow city centre so has seen lots of awful things but I can honestly say it doesn't really affet our relationship, maybe your living arrangements are more to blame. |

Rough patches are normal. I have been with the same guy for 12 years. Hang on on there. They tend to get smoothed out in the end. As for making him happy. You should make yourself happy, this in turn will make him happy. |

Time is generally the best healer in rough patches, its kinda a make or break sit. |
