Public entry My take on the US Presidential elections
August 22, 2008 @ 03:33:57 am

I've seen soooo many different people, and soooo many different ideas for what could help our country, and soooo many lies, flip-flops, and bad ideas from...just about every canidate. I can't name one (demcrat and republican) canidate that I fully agree with on the issues, nor do I find an easy ride for America, no matter who wins.

Obama? Please. He's an ambitious, arrogant, mega-liberal, anti-gun, big goverment, tax loving, flip-flopping asshole. I honestly cannot see why he's so popular, maybe it's because he's young, black, and talks about change and hope. Let's say he was old dull, boring, white, and didn't have change and hope as his entire platform. Would he have made it this far? I doubt it. Him and Hillary are very alike in their views, and with their plans for the country if they were to be elected President.

McCain....isn't really anything special. I mean, his head is in the right place, and he's man enough to admit when he's wrong, but I can't say I agree with him on everything. He wants to get involved in Iran, more involved in Iraq, Afghanistan, and as far as I know he's for getting more involved in the Russia/Georgia conflict. But at he's for gun rights and isn't a socialist.

So, as every can plainly see, both canidates suck. So, while I'm still going for McCain as he has a good chance of winning and isn't as scary, I'd have to say the one person I would choose for President would be Chuck Baldwin. He's has full and true support for gun rights. He's pro-life. He wants to get rid of the income tax, death tax, and propert tax. He's for getting out of Iraq and for the US to stop getting involved in all these foriegn affairs. Although I still disagree with him on some things, he's a much better choice than McCain or Obama.

He's with the Constitution Party, and is the official nominee for the party for President (behind him was Alan Keyes). Although this political party isn't very well known, they're for the most part for small government, and have some good people who would make fantastic Presidents.

However, my vote is still for McCain. But if say, Chuck Baldwin was running as a republican, he would have my vote over McCain any day. Sometimes the best people running are ones that are members of a smaller and lesser known party.
