My dear friend Sir Duke

We found out today that my bloodhound Duke has cancer.
He is only Two and a half so we are going to let him have the surgery on Monday...

The tumors are behind his eyes so he may come out of it blind but that is OK we have a very big yard and lots of help to help him along... I am afraid.....I don't want to lose him......

	Ohhh.....poor baby! I hope everything works out well. We don't have dogs but have cats that are like our children and I'm sure your dogs are the same for you.

	thank you very much for all the wonderful thoughts for Duke I know he may not understand what is going on and why it matters but I do and they are very much appreciated

	it's no problom. i just hope Duke gets better.i have a really old cat right now that could fall over dead at any minute. i wish you luck with all my heart.

Duke made it through surgery but we won't know until wednesday if he will be able to see again....Doc said they removed three tumors from his optical nerves but thought that there may not be much damage because we caught it early ......I never would have thought I would be going through brain surgery for my bloodhound but I am sooooo glad we did. He can't come home until Thursday it is going to be a long week

	He came home today poor guy looks like he got into a fight with a truck and the truck won. his eyes seem to be OK, have to wait until the swelling goes down too really find out.....thank you for asking
