Best excuse for a party

Ok, yesterday I caught up with some mates, one of them said that she is having a party on the night of the Eurovision song contest to support our entry. Aparently her family do it every year which is pretty cool, but does any one else do this for the Eurovision song contest? I have never seen any one else really celebrate this night, is this yet another Wogan event?

it used to be an annual event in our house. Mainly because we just used to love Terry Wogan trying to describe some obscure latvian entry.

It's a contest where lots of countries from europe (and for some reason israel) to square and challenge each other on the battlefield of pop music. Britain always loses because we choose crappy singers who can't sing in key. ireland always wins, cos everyone loves ireland. Sweden and Finland always give each other "douze point" and Terry Wogan always makes fun of obscure latvian entries

that's basically it!
