I was getting ready for work yesterday when I slipped on a bathtoy getting out of the shower (we have one of those old bath showers). I hurt my knee so I went to the hospital to get it checked out.

I spent 4 hrs at the hospital just to be told that I've sprained my knee and can't go to work until next week. Grrrr! That's four days pay I'm missing! As a casual I don't get sick pay or anything either.

So the doctor has said that I can't work yesterday, today, Saturday and Sunday. Monday and Tuesday are my days off this week and Wednesday and Thursday are my days off next week. This means I have no pay for an entire week.

On the bright side, I effectively get a week to recover and I get to spend time with my kids during the school holidays.

	I broke my toe over a year ago and that was painful as hell.... I still had to go to work thought 'cause I really needed the monet...although I had an office job sitting on my bottom!

	If I had an office job, I'd go anyway, even though the doc says not. But I work at Subway. I'm on my feet the whole shift and am required to move around quickly.
