Wow I am amazed. After about 20 years of virtually non-communication, my father's parents answered my letter! I almost thought they had snubbed me again, and then out of the blue, this letter arrives in my letterbox, the handwriting so like my Dad's that before I'd managed to open the envelope I was bawling.

It was brief, but still more than I had expected, they even included a certificate from the Welcome Wall ( a commemorative wall featuring bronze plaques honouring emigrants at the National Maritime Museum, Sydney) which states where their place (along with my Dad's) is on the wall, along with a photo of them.

This has certainly brightened my week.
