Public entry Occultist is me.

The following statement discribs me and my beliefs.

"Occult" means "hidden" or "concealed". Occultism basically
involves a belief that: 1. there are hidden or unseen forces in the universe; 2. these forces exist weather we acknoledge them or not; 3. these forces operate according to well defined laws; 4. there is thus an overall ingerant in the universe; and 5. the purpose of life has to do with fathoming that meaning and getting in tune with those forces.
Central to this view of things are the concepts of "life force" and "thought." The occultist holds that there is a universal life force that manifests itself in everything that exists. Everything is alive, even so-called inert objects. Also, every living thing has a mental dimension. Some form of mentation is believed to be present even in matter. For that reason everything that happens in nature is part of a rational process. Consciousness and purpose are present even in those that appear to be the result of chance. Natural law which one can see operating on every level of existance, shows that there is a rational motivation behind all that happens. For many ocultists, this rationally functioning universal life-force is called "god." In there view, god is immanent in the world, present in all the maifestations of life. But he is also transcendent, beyond and greater then what he has created. Since there is one divein mind that is behind all that is and all that happens, the occultist possesses a unitary view of nature. The occultists make this universal unity and meaning in the universe the object of his study and research. All creatures of the universe are given there character and form by the mind of god. Also, they are held in existance by the life-force that comes from god. "Thought" and "life-force"-these say the occultist, are the basic constitutive elements of the creation of the devine. But according to the occult view man, too, is a creator. He has a unique position in the world, being somthing of a little god. His mind generates thoughts that give form and character to his creations. And the life-force eminating from him gives them existance. When his mind gives form to sounds, he is a creative musician. When his mind gives form to to building materials, he is an architect. Man, therefore, creates his own universe, populated by the creatures of his mind, just as god created the universe. Man is thus the microcosmic image of the great microcosm of god. But man not only created physical artiacts, he also creates psychic artifacts. His thoughts themselves, when charged with sufficient energy, become substantially existing entities. These substantially existing "thought-forms" have power. They can produce palpable effects both upon himself and others. Those effect can be constructive(when one generates thought of healing and encouragement for example) or destructive (when the thoughts are of psychic attack, domination, draining of vitality, possession or simmilar things.) According to occult teaching, humans can ot only learn to develop the powers latent within them but also tap into the immense forces of nature. These forces have been personified in the traditional gods, goddesses, andgels and demons. The differant divinities represent the various aspect of basic natural forces, such as growth, strenght, and conservation, as well as decay, war and destruction.

This is the basis of my beliefs and the foundation of many theroys that seek to explane the unknown around us.

Except for the whole language skills part. I don't think I could be so certain that I have a grasp on the underpinnings of the universe when I don't even have a grasp on the basic structure of my language.
