Well I was up at 6am this morning as we had to be at the hospital for 7:45 and it takes an hour to get there. I had a little cereal before waking marissa, as she wasn't allowed anything to eat after midnight last night. She didn't take it too well having to get up so early bless her.

Ok so I was at the hospital with my little girl Marissa, who is 2, she needs to have an operation on her eye. Maybe some of you remember me posting about it after the last hospital appointment. Well today I found out the date for her operation it's Thursday 3rd July, which is only a week away.
I just want it over for her. I am not allowed to give her any food after midnight the night before, she isn't allowed a drink after 6.45am the morning of the surgery  i have to have her at the hospital for 7.45am, which means leaving home at 7am. I have no idea what im gonna do with Morgan, ive asked his dad to have him but work is more important. My mam will more than likely come to take him to school and pick him up and if need be he will have to sleep there.
They have said that the operation will take 1 1/2 hrs and she will be out the same day. But if she has a bad reaction to the anesthetic she may have to stay over.
Anyways just thought id let everyone who cares lol what is going on. | |

My brothers girlfriend is pregnant. She is on holiday with her mates at the minute and did a test over there. I'm quite worried as you shouldn't fly whilst pregnant and also she suffers from crones disease. So she needs to discuss with her doctor whether she should be taking her medication or not. But these things happen.
I'm still really happy for her though, well for them both  | |

I've just come back from the hospital. A few months ago i noticed my daughters eye kept wandering into the corner, so i though maybe she had a lazy eye. Both me and her father had squints as children and had to have operations. Well i was told today that marissa will need her eye operated on. They are hoping to operate in July, she will have just turned 2
Her eye is really bad apparently, she is having real problems seeing out of it. Which is what i thought as she is always walking into things, but only on one side. As if she can't judge the distance correctly. The consultant said he thinks he can restore 80% of her sight with the operation. Maybe needing glasses afterwards, but glasses wont help without the operation.
She will be in and out of the hospital the same day. I just can't imagine it, she is only a baby, well to me she is anyways. The consultant says she has possibly had it from before she was 6 mths old, but has got worse recently. When i initially went to see the doctor about it he wasn't even gonna send me to the hospital, i had to push for it. He said he would correct itself, just shows how much he knows. I wish i had been wrong though. | |
