I've never really been depressed. I've never felt such overwhelming sadness...but this year at work has been really awful. I feel so out of place, I feel like no one really likes me here at work. I feel like I just don't fit in that I'm deliberately left out of everything. I feel like I'm not really helping my students out. My last cla** of the day is awful they don't really want to learn anything...they're surprised that I care about them.
I got home yesterday and just started balling my eyes out. I couldn't control it...it just poured from me. Now I'm exhausted, I'm sitting alone in my classroom at work, and I don't feel much better.
I just feel horrible...

162933 points | | Teaching is a tough job and i think anyone who does it must break down at some point, even the toughest. Also working in a school you can face a terrible pecking order and bullying. Its ok to burst into tears and feel low, its not ok to feel this way every day. Seriously, if you cant pull yourself up, it may be worth changing your job. |
