Public entry Stupid virus
November 06, 2009 @ 06:21:24 am

Yeah, sorry I haven't been around lately. I went out on Saturday night and woke up Sunday morning with an scratchy throat. By Sunday night, I had the chills, fever, headache, dizzy, cough which just got worse Monday and Tuesday. Crappiest part, even feeling like s***, i had to go to work Monday night because everyone is on leave or sick leave. Bet my germs are all over the place. The doc never said it was Swine flu but it kind of goes without saying considering i've already gotten the generic vaccine.

The doc saw me on Wednesday morning and gave me Tamiflu. My fever finally broke with the help of the Tamiflu this morning and i've been feeling about 70%. Feel kind of guilty though after watching this on Yahoo... link [cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com]

My fever started this Sunday too. Sunday night was the worst, fever at 102.7 ache and sensitive everywhere, sore throat, chills and a headache. By the next morning I was still sore all over but less, and my fever was down to 101. Fever was gone by Monday night and I was feeling pretty good. That just left me with a cough and a runny nose. Runny nose finally quit this afternoon, so now it's just the annoying cough.

I found this stuff called Virastop really helped a lot. It's an enzyme supplement that's supposed to be able to break down the viruses defenses. I was taking it on Sunday and Monday, and then on Tuesday it seemed like everything started going downhill again and I couldn't figure out why, I was starting to hurt all over again with that headache anytime I exerted myself at all, and I was feeling exhausted again. And then I realized I hadn't taken the Virastop all day. So I took it, and within a couple hours I felt like a new person! I mean, I still had the cough and runny nose, but the full body ache thing went away completely, and my energy came back, I almost felt normal! So now I'm making sure I take it every few hours, and I feel pretty normal. Just the stupid cough now left.

Virastop huh...that stuff sounds like it works pretty well. I'll have to remember that for next year. Hell, i better not get another virus this winter.

If you haven't been exposed to mono, and your fever is broken, I wouldn't worry.

I didn't realize I had ever been exposed to mono, to be honest. Also, my doctor told me that a lot of people are getting whooping cough after having the flu right now. I actually tested positive for that too
