	You're a good looking kid (just like me when I was your age ahem) what I didn't do was look around and reach out because I didn't have a gift for gab. I had nothing smart or interesting to say to anyone so I didn't know how to start anything. Practice in your mind, practice talking to others. You'll be surprised by how much you can teach yourself. Net forums are great for exercising this.
