General 322 points | Why do you keep contacting me in attempts to be one of my "friends"? If you have anything to do with the moderators or administration of this useless site, you can explain how the hell some miserable, useless individual could LOCK both threads I started here WITH NO EXPLANATION EXCEPT SOME CHILDISHLY VAGUE POSTS ! And when I tried to contact administration about it, I got no reply - even to date.

Newbie 2 points | One of my absolute favorite characters in the Bible is Andrew. We hardly know anything about him. There is virtually only 5-6 scriptures that mention his name and none of them are overly specific, but even amidst the little that we know; he amazes me. Every time Andrew is mentioned he is bringing people to Jesus. Whether they be Jew or Gentile it didn't matter to him. He knew that everyone needed Jesus and that Jesus was here for everyone.
John 1:40-42 "One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, 'We have found the Messiah' (which is translated, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus."
In a time when racism was certainly at a premium this incredible man of God shows us that Christ came for all, His Message is to all and His grace covers all. Andrew didn't care about social mores, stigmas or values. He cared about and implemented Jesus' values.
I saw an extremely unfortunate thing the other day. A wonderful Saudi Arabian man and his 12 year old son were getting on a plane. They were pulled out of line and questioned extensively by the British police. Who were they? Where were they going? Why? For how long?... very degrading actually. Then when they were on the plane they were questioned again, in a very impolite, accusatory way. Then when we landed in Toronto they were questioned again by the Canadian police, removed from the line up and taken into a room; the same questions in the same tone over and over again.
I realize that all of the authorities I mentioned were doing their job; and I respect that. However, I did feel the need to go up to the man and apologize for the terrible way he was treated; especially in front of his boy. He thanked me and then I proceeded to give him one of my cards and invite him to our Church. I told him that it would be a privilege for a "Christian" to share a lunch with a "Muslim".
The point being that in every age there are always "people" and "cultures" that are considered the enemy or outsiders. And all of us need to remind ourselves about Andrew who was only known for one thing (really) - He always brought people to Jesus. Not a bad modus operand us for life.
