He tried it again... February 15, 2012 @ 01:36:51 pm
My son can go through all the moods he wants, but there is no excuse for being disrespectful. I thought that with the ass-kicking he got the other day that it was enough, but apparently he needed reminding. I told him to shut the tv off and go to bed. He said he was watching something. All I did was put my hand up to show him, and he says "Your hands are little". Really??? I say "But they pack a punch". He agreed, swept the house again, and went to bed. Nuff said.
Lol, he will be 15 in two weeks. He is 5'7"---half inch taller than my eldest son. My 23 year old tried the same thing twice last year, and found himself outside those two times. Twice he calls me apologizing, and has not done it again and came back. It bothered him to hear his brother mouthing off because it didn't occur to him how disrespectful it was until he heard his brother do it. I told him now he sees what doing certain things in front of impressionable younger folk can do.

My eldest grand son is the same age and about the same in height, but you'll probably find because he's the height he is,he tries to use that as a lever.
We all get to the stage where we think we can get away with things,I know I did and I'm sure you did to doesn't hurt them to be brought down a few pegs reminds them that you may be a little shorter, but your still in charge .
