About Me
True Rap is poetry set to a beat and Brian Sanders is a mastermind in delivering this with his rhymes. Brain Sanders who goes by the stage name Bobble Head is setting the music scene of fire with his conscientious lyrics and no holes barred approach to storytelling. Aided by his partner in rhymes, Lil Wee-Z, the two of them are proving that the South definitely has something to say.

I recently had a chance to speak to Brian via phone and was amazed at the depth, intellect, and overall knowledge this young man possesses. After this spotlight, I think you will feel the same. Here is my musical spotlight with Bobble Head and Lil Wee-Z.

Isaac-Joseph: Hello, thanks for taking the time to do this interview. Could you elaborate a little on who you are and the style of music you make?

Sanders: Sup man, I’m a guy who lives his life to the fullest. I got two adopted children who I love more than life itself. I'm a God fearing man, who wants to stand up for what America is really like. I was in the marine's for a short stint inspired by my cuz from a different muz Brent Rogers and my Uncle. I was raised by two great parents with a lot of love and support. My song' are just small stories of my life so far. I try to keep only truth in them. Maybe it will make a difference in someone's life.

Isaac-Joseph: Describe the music scene in the area you currently reside in: Mobile Alabama:

Sanders: We got all the right mixes of culter and seen to many bad and good things. We def gonna take over the rap game if they let our foot in the door; every man's dream right. Radio Stations in my town won’t play me (LOL). Don’t know why they just hate me. Don't even accept phone calls though I got a feeling why BLX won’t play me. 97.5 said they would a year ago but never did call. We def got the talent though. We just got a lot to say; Hard Head Entertainment, Techo, ThaBoyUncut, Tate.... and so forth.

Isaac-Joseph: What has been one of the most rewarding aspects of making music for you so far professionally?

Sanders: My parent's liked one of my song's.... and my son can say "Hey LiL MammaA" like the chorus LOL. Fab's also hearing someone who like's the music even the one's that don't.

Isaac-Joseph: What are you hoping to bring to the music industry with your music that has not been done before with any other entertainer?

Sanders: Is there really anything that hasn't been done? I don't know. I'm just gonna let people know what I think about LIFE real LIFE not what you see on TV. I just wanna let people know it's still messed up from Katrina but we don't care we just keep moving. It only stopped us for 4 days with no help except Matthew Mcconaughey coming to the rescue in his private helicopter. That guy should be president someone who cares, ya know? I wanna to politically move people remind them of what America was supposed to be, all about equality but there's none found here; EVER!

Isaac-Joseph: Recently, the South has received a bad rap as being artists that are not concerned with today world’s problems. As an artist from the South, what do you hope people who are listening to your music bring from it?

Sanders: I hope they open their eyes to America's problem's from with-in and stop donating money to other countries, help our kid's and teach them to be women and men. Hell, I would say lower taxes but that's not gonna happen until anther role model is snipped by a bullet.

Isaac-Joseph: If you had a chance to collaborate with one entertainer in the music business, who would it be and why?

Sanders: Eminem! When I first started to rap, he inspired me. Another entertainer that comes to mind would be Jay-Z; just to challenge them lyrically. Not a beef song just who has the rhyme that speaks more with less said, ya know? I would lose (LOL) it's the luck of the Irish though some day I might get on their level of word play.

And one group?

Sanders: That's a really tough one. I mean-- there are so many I listen to regularly, hmm! LOL, I gotta get back to you on that one.

Isaac-Joseph: What has been the feedback you have received from your fans about the music you are making?

Sanders: I have two haters (LOL). They wrote to me on MySpace. Others like or love it. People tell me I will make it.

Isaac-Joseph: You most definitely have some serious beliefs about the state of United States. Could you elaborate on some of your issues you currently have with the way our country is currently being run?

Sanders: We need a constitutional congress again, legalize weed and hookers. Tax them and people would wanna go to work (LOL). Put the taxes toward the national debt. Wages are so high employers can't afford to get the job. Gay rights, I would never let any tell me I couldn't marry my girlfriend (Brandy mother of my foster kids) so why should it be any different for them. AMERICA means EQUALITY everyone's equal.

You don't like it fine leave them alone; they aren't hurting anyone. Also, kids in the streets or without homes. There are good homes wanting kids so why not let the kids who want families have them. Also, I want to stop Donations to other countries that make me mad. Legalize hookers and give aids test to them and the people they sleep with that would get rid of rape and disease, probably suicides and murders also.

Isaac-Joseph: Music can be a way that one can get his or her own message across to the masses. How do you hope that you own message and belief can get Americans to start to see that they need to take action?

Sanders: We need to fight back at our government because they beat our people take away our kids. On top of that, they make us pay them to be our jailers and decide what is right. Yet, look at Katrina or the war nobody likes this war. Arrest Bush for war crimes or for dropping the ball. How about congress getting payed less than 400 dollars a week and sees how they like it. I hope we represent ourselves better to the rest of the world instead of a President that makes jokes while sending innocent men and women to their grave's for nothing but oil while we have other sources of energy.

Isaac-Joseph: When you are performing live on stage, you feel (complete this sentence)….

Sanders: (LOL) I have never done anything but karaoke as of so far. Usually, I just rhyme at anytime; beat or not—in front of whomever.

Isaac-Joseph: Expound on current projects that you are working on and what we can expect from in the near future:

Sanders: More and more songs and maybe a book of poems.

Isaac-Joseph: Shout out time. Give shout out to anyone and everyone that matters:

Sanders: GOD, for I’m nothing without you; my brother, my whole Family, and Friends. Everyone I don't talk to anymore for whatever reason. My Fans, and the people I work with; Uncut, Hardhead, www.Southernmix.com, TOM, and MySpace.

Isaac-Joseph: Final Thoughts as we rap this spotlight up:

Sanders: Yea, I hope you like what you hear it's me in a nutshell.
