what good movie!
Action packed!
Lots of Fun
I loved this film...Just when you thought the action is slowing down it picks back up and ends with explosive results. The acting was kinda poor, but exploding helicopters and a truck v.s F-35 duel more than makes up for the acting. Overall a really enjoyable action flick.
Yippee Kayay!
John Mclain is not as young as he once was so struggles a bit in hand to hand combat. As usual Mclain does have plenty of ingenuity to get himself out of some dangerous scenarios. Justin Long, plays a hacker who Mclain relies on for some inside information to stop some cyber terrorists.
The stunts are over the top and of course there is some cheezy dialog. The acting is not stellar. Live Free or Die Hard isn't an exceptional movie, but if you the other Die Hard movies you certainly should check it out.
Very good film.
Alright, we've seen sequels to Rocky and Rambo, and Sylvester is old, bit both of them are great movies. This is no exception. Live Free or Die Hard, or Die Hard 4 is a film that dazzles with effects and action, and with an impossible plot. Is that a bad thing? No, because people don't watch these films for that, they watch them for action and effects.

Bruce Willis is good in his roll as always, and the supporting cast also gives their all. Maybe the only thing wrong with this film is that there isn't a truly evil villain, most of the time he seems human, and, almost shockingly, a heart. That's not the kind of villain I want in a film like this. Take for example Doc Ock in Spider-Man 2, he wasn't a menace. He was evil for a time yes, but he had an internal struggle for himself, and thus can't be a cackling maniac. Maybe if the villain in this film was like that, it would be acceptable. It's not.

But of course, the incredible and sometimes unbelievable stunt entertain very well, and it's very entertaining. you'll probably be glued to the tv when a huge sequence starts. It's an entertaining film, you can't take that away from it.

So it's an impossible film, full of moments when you'll be confused and be wondering, but also full of action and effects. A good film for that, but if you expect more, skip it.
