Hi, I'm genuinely curious how many women out there are stronger than me, I'm a 140 lb guy, fit but not too strong, can't bench more than 70 lbs, do maybe 20 pushups at a time tops. Just curious if many of you are stronger than me, thanks.

i know, i've met some women who are much stronger than me. curious if they're just super-strong women, or if the "average" woman is stronger than me...any further thoughts?

i love to see athletic women lift up people. especially way up above thier head. its a shame to be consistantly ridiculed for this fact because i really think its a great achievement and feat on the part of any female person to be able to do this. on you tube there is visual proof of it. its sad that so many females can do this but choose not to record it. secretly, girlpower is something that most men want to see and i wonder how many women on this site are capable of sych an act.

You're only 140lb? Are you shorter than average or just really skinny?

lol, well when I'm in good shape and working out every day I can bench 90 pounds, but only for a couple of reps, otherwise I just do the bar (40 pounds). I'm working on getting back there though. It's important to be physically fit.

I'm 15, so does that count as a woman?

I wiegh 101 pounds, bench 70, and do like 20 pushups and 50 situps like every other day, not sure why, but the abs are so worth it. I hate sports though, not involved in any, never have been, wierd, I run too. Idk.

My seventeen year old daughter can deadlift 325lbs. Of course she trains for this. But, it amazes me, cause she lifts at the 123lb class. What an animal....

I can say I am strong for a woman of 130 pounds. I am toned due to mostly working with horses and hiking. I do work out 3 days a weeks with weights and I keep up with situps which is 50 each time. I used to weight lift 5 days a week. I was addicted to it. I have to keep up with my strength due to my job. I work with the worse most dangerous criminals in California and I have to be ready at all times for a wrestling match. I am 39 and I can say I am stronger than my 18 year old daughter.
