It really pisses me off when people think they can tell a women what she should do with whats growing inside of her own body. If you don't want to get an abortion then fine but don't make it so that some poor confused girl can't get rid of something that is going to make her life miserable. And I know that some of you are going to say that she can just give it up for adoption but what if that baby is just going to end up in an abusive foster home, I know it sounds horrible but what if that child is better off not even being born. Also, do you even know what having a child does to a woman's vagina? It never looks the same and even if that's a selfish reason to get an abortion, it's still a woman's choice. It pisses me off even more when a woman is raped and people still think that she should'nt be able to get an abortion. She shouldn't have to bring the offspring of some filthy rapist into the world.

I think everyone is entitled to an opinion on abortion. Its a shame that the issue of abortion is played like a ping pong ball for votes by politicians.

It is important that a woman decide for herself on such a matter, it is a matter of living with whether they made the right decision for themselves.

Nobody should be bullied into or out of abortion.

Your vagina changes?? I had an episiotomy during my son's birth and mine is exactly the same. I've never heard that used as an excuse for an abortion. There would have to be more to the story.

I think if people don't believe in abortion, they are free to believe so and tactfully express their views.

What bugs me is the ones who hara** women who have / are going to have an abortion. It's a very painful thing for a woman to go through physically and emotionally, they don't need added emotional blackmail.

Adoption is not always an option, either.

Tell that to the bible hugging protestors outside planned parenthood clinics throwing eggs and pushing around 13 year old girls. As if getting raped wasn't bad enough!

Oh, and then have you seen that 5 or 6 year old they have preaching the word of god to clinic visitors. I mean, its not like everyone who walks into a planned parenthood gets an abortion. They also supply cheap or free birth control, which prevents abortion from even becoming an option. . . .

I'm just speaking of personal experiances that I've seen. I wish people would just mind their own business

Why does a women think she has power over a fetus and or to end life just for a birth control method.

I can answer this question. Usually its a last resort because proper precautions were not available or ignored in the beginning. If contraceptives, the good ones, were readily available, like the pill or the ring or the patch. If contraceptives were not so expensive. If we had an actual sex education in our school system instead of abstinence only. If these type of problems were fixed, I would probably be not support choice as avidly, because I don't support the 35 year old business woman who doesn't want to be inconvienenced and forgot to take her pill. But even then, there are exceptions to every rule.

There are two options for those who want to end abortion:

You can close your ears up with your fingers and just yell, "its wrong its wrong its wrong," and hope you get politicians who have that same mentality in power . . .

or

We, prolifers and prochoicers can unite to try and eliminate the circumstances in which one might choose abortion. And I hope that we can do that. I really do. Otherwise its just one of those circle arguments where we go round and round.

Even if we can't agree about the subject, we all have the power to change the outcome.

That's the best arguement I've heard on this topic so far. You just scored 20 cool points in my book.

The answer is "because they honestly believe that the fetus is a distinct human being, not a simple body part."

Well, it can't speak yet and it's in my body. I think that gives me enough right to terminate something I think isn't really considerded human yet.

But then again...Everyone has different views on when a fetus is considered human and I'm sure yours are very different from mine. I respect your opinion too, along with everyone else's.
