18/M/Whitehaven, United Kingdom Join Date: Jun 2007 | Men and women tend to be practical in different ways. For example, men tend to be able to focus more on linear tasks, finishing one thing after another (although not particularly good at multi-tasking). On the other hand, women are more practical when it comes to choosing things: while a man may look for a car that has the highest top speed, extra features and neon lights, a woman would choose a car according to its genuine usefulness in terms of passenger capacity, fuel economy, safety rating etc.
This is largely due to the fact that men are cursed with testosterone, trapped forever in competition with other males, so they have to have the things with the best image rather than utility. Then again, women have no easy time with hormones either.

24/F/Orlando, Florida Join Date: Dec 2007 | I think if a woman put herself to it, she could do anything a man could do. But alot of such things she doesn't do because its not her place in society, or, she'll more than likely pursue a role that is expected of her. Like with the men, they have proven to be excellent cooks and among the best of hair stylists, interior decorators, even ballerinas! (what's a male ballerina called?)
But to avoid looking fruity, a man will more likely pursue the 'macho' image. So overall, everyone is good at what they do period.
Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little. -Edmund Burke
