2 books at the moment. Ann Rice's book on Christ...interesting. It begins with Christ as a child inadvertantly killing and then bringing back to life another boy. Kind of funny to read, "It was Jesus! He did it!"

Also reading a book called the Conjurer's Bird. Pretty good so far.

I just started The Third Angel by Alice Hoffman. I also just added to my library list the book you guys were talking about in another thread here..Parfume by Patrick Suskind...looks dark and twisty. I like them kind

I've heard about Rice's last book, let me know how it is, vizzy. I was a big Rice fan, read the Vampire Chronicles, and the Mayfair Witches series...she is a fabulous writer, always very sensual and dark, I'm interested to know if she makes a smooth transition.

Right now I am reading a raunchy romance but i love to read. I have been reading ever since i learned how. My fave author is V.C. Andrews but she writes very dark books. I love murder mysteries, they are my absolute favorite. I'll read pretty much anything that is fiction. Romance, romance comedies, comedies..blah blah blah.

It helps me break away from hard life and go into something else and live someone elses life.

Some awesome books to read are The Great Gatsby, To Kill A Mockingbird and Catcher in the Rye (but if you get this book make sure it's not the one edited for high schools because then you cant get the real meaning of it)

sorry..long post, i'm just a big reader.

I think I read somewhere that Jesus actually did do that.

I'm reading the Otherland series by Tad Williams, not the most exciting books, but hey why start something you wont finish.

I've been reading Brock and Bodie Thoene's Zion Covenant. It's a series of historical novels about a violinist that smuggles passport in her violin case to people trying to excape from Nazi Germany in the late 1930's.
I also love anything by James Michenor or John Jakes.

There's a dog in there somewhere!

Hi, Hooked! I just finished Neil DeGrasse Tyson's "Death by Black Hole" (astronomy). Have picked up a couple of odd balls. "The Ride of Your Life" by Lyn St. James (biography) and "Oil Patch Home" a self published auto-biographical/novel by Shirley Ramsey. How's that for a spectrum???

I'm reading Stuart McBride, Dying Light. It is a gritty murder/crime drama set in Aberdeen and is fantastic so far. Really keeps me guessing and I can't put it down.

I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for something I'm not...
