ive been listenin

to techno alot and trance and deep house

but to me it sounds like they evolved from funk and disco

just want to know your opinion?

Exactly. Disco was the first genre to do extended instrumental mixes (on 12' records). Dub was another influence as they did instrumentals on Dubplates.
