I've been suffering this thyroid problem,also known as Graves Disease, for nearly 8 years. I had been taking PTU until a month ago i received radiated iodine treatment but my disease seemd to keep exacerbating and i lost alot of weight.

I have an underactive one, was on meds for years, finally it adjusted itself.

I'm the opposite...my thyroid is practically dead! I have blood work about every 4 months to monitor my meds. But BONUS! I'm FINALLY able to lose weight now that I'm on meds for it!

So what other symptons does thyroids show? Hair loss?

well, for me,the symptoms are insomnia, tremors, fatigue, weight loss and a quick or irregular heartbeat.
