OK first and foremost, I absolutely love watermelon and it's even better after you put some salt on it. I love fried chicken, I don't like mornings and have a tendency to be lazy. I have also met some very laxy, vein, dishonest, disloyal, would buy shoes before feeding their kids, savage, uncivilzed, racist, stupid, ignorant, and just plain wastes of time, WHITE, ASIAN, HAWAIIAN, PACIFIC ISLANDER, BLACK, MIXED, you name it I've met and worked with all kinds people that could fall into every single one of those catergories and they didn't have to be black. I'm with the guy that says call me American and leave the rest off of it. We all bleed the same people.

Black stario type i've heard or seen, afraid of bugs, and snakes. I know a lot of us are but have you ever seen a grown black man come across a snake?? We get great laughs from this.

I have been outraged ever since i've heard the term african american. First off my black friends and co-workers are nothing like the africans that come to our country with there cazy a** idea's.

I wrote about stereotypes but it doesn't mean that They refer pf racism idea. There are a lot of stereotypes expression. For example rich peolpe will be better always in our life..that's another stereotype. Tv is full of them and sometimes they are so strong..

Here are the current stereotypes I know:

Asian people cant drive
Jewist people love money
Black people love booty
Hispanic people always smuggle their entire families into the US
All white people are stupid and racist

Those are the only stereotypes I know of, cant say any are truely true though

what about Italian people? They play guitar and they eat pizza!! I think taht stereotypes are not so true but sometimes they say something about one population. For example not all italian people eat pizza but a piece of them love pizza. So stereotypes have a lit of piece of reality. I don't mean about racism!!! I would like to know if in your opinion new technoloy allow people to trascend from stereotype.

I think new technology helps. I think many of us who use the internet have had our eyes opened about one thing or another and one of those things is that actually we are all pretty much the same, regardless of religion, race or creed and that stereotypes have a hint of truth but at the end of the day, they are just stereotypes.

I agree with you but I think Ma** media create stereotypes as normal communication instruments. At first they take care about socio-economic class. Nowadays money has become the most important value and everything turns around it. So stereotyped characters can negatively influence the way we view real people in society and sometimes weak persons think that they can be as the television heroes with money and beauty so they change them life style and live in an unreal world.

to be honest, if i was manufacturing a product and i wanted to sell as many as possible, i would go for the target market which of course would mean using stereotypes. I dont think we can ever get rid of stereotypes or ma** media as long as people are happy to be spoon fed by certain media, however a lot more people are willing to seek out thier own truth and not just accept what they are told.
