the group walked until after dark, when the moon was high in the air. Sukira, knowing that everyone's feet hurt badly, fell to her chest and heaved a sigh. "good night guys!" she bellowed, sending the hawk to a tree. "i'm not going any further until we stop and rest!"
"good idea..." whispered Kida.
Gan curled up between the both of them, and soon they were all snoring soundly.

The group slept soundly under the protection of the vigilant hawk. The hawk with his eyes fixed on Sukira as she slept had a sparkle in his eye. Suddenly, a snake crept up upon the group. It was the snake they encountered earlier that had run away because they were fearful. The hawk watched the snake intently ready to swoop down at the slightest movement for this was a black mamba, the deadliest of snakes. The snake, having fulfilled it's curiosity, slithered away and left the slumpering group to their dreams. The hawk looked at Gan an noticed something different, a different appearence, almost... demonic. The hawk wondered, was this transformation common to shadow bears? He saw Kida moving restlessly in her sleep, what could she be dreaming of? The moonlit night was restless with mystery, the hawk looked up at the moon engulfing the night with it's illuminous glory and he wanted to howl at it. But why would a hawk want to howl?

Kida's Dream:

A battle of countless warriors rages on a dark and sombre day. The sky is filled with flying creatures of all kinds, the grounds are covered in raging beasts of all spiecies.
A great and mighty lion fights skillfully and efficiently but is comfronted by a formidible creature of darkness, his outcome is not certain. Kida endowed with Golden armor, fights courageously. Out the corner of her eye, she sees the dark foe raise it's sword towards the mighty lion, she runs furiously to aid the lion... a crown falls on the ground...

Thanks, I figured since were all sleeping now we could take this opportunity to write of any dreams we want to add to the story, I know Kida needed it because so far her story has been a mystery. (it's been a mystery to ME, I'm just making this up as I go along )

the hawk glanced at kida. for a moment, he held his eyes shut. within his
mind he could see her dream. his powers were strong, but for the time,
Sukira had the same amount of ability.

When morning came, the three friends woke up to a cold and bitter wind and there was a fog over the land.
"The winds must be coming from the north today - they're cold." Gan said.
"Indeed" Kida replied. "Well, we best be heading to the cliffs, we might even be able to get to Dasan by tonight."
"Not if the cliffs have anything to say" Gan said.
"What do you mean?" Sukira asked.
"The cliffs are full of dangers...more dangerous than the forest, or the pit, or the city of Farnham." Sukira put on an unbearable look that suggested she just lost all hope in life.
"Don't worry" Kida said, "with us by your side, nothing can go wrong. You've also grown stronger since we first met in the field, so you'll be able to defend yourself better on the cliffs."
"Let's just hope so" Sukira said grimly. The three friends moved north towards the cliffs and the hawk decided to sit on Gan's head because the fog restricted it from flying.

Sukira watched the hawk with a weary eye. she had a feeling that this thing had a lot of power like she did; she felt that some how they were more alike than his hawk exterior let her on to believe.

Kida walked behind the group in deep thought brought on by all the commotion, memories resurfacing that she worked so hard to bury. She thought about what the light being said to them about their retributions, how she would regain her throne. But she wasn't sure that she wanted it back, it had been so long, she never since had a desire to become a queen again.
Gan sensed that she was distraught; "what ails you your highness?"
"Don't call me that, I'm just a regular lioness, my past is dead to me, I would like it to stay that way." Said Kida somberly.
