25/F/Orlando, Florida Join Date: Dec 2007 | Sukira lay restless trying to decide what to do about what she saw but she immediately forgot about it because she felt it again, she got a vision, a night vision sense looking on the outside of the cave where they dwelled. Sukira got up to look but could see very little through the dark night rain.
kida: you can sense it can't you?
Sukira: yes, it's a notion i've always had but for some reason, it's stronger in these woods.
Gan: What are you two going on about?
Sukira: That hawk i saw earlier, i can feel it somehow. how did you know it was out there kida?
kida: That thing's been following us since you entered this place. not many souls would go through the trouble of venturing into this place just out of curiosity, i've been keeping an eye on it. But only you can truly know where it is.
Sukira: i can't see it it's too dark.
Gan: you said your instinct has increased, maybe if you focus you can develop it, harness your eagle powers.
Sukira: maybe i can, i know that it's there, if only i could see it...
Sukira begins to focus and with a still, calm look stares off into the darkness. Kida and Gan get up to in anticipation. As Sukira continues to sense the hawk the darkness becomes brighter, different somehow, it's amazing, she could see every drop of rain and every leaf of the tree. Suddenly, kida becomes uneasy.
Gan: What is it kida?
kida: I don't know, somethings wrong.
Sukira finally perfects here ability and now has attained the power to see like the eagle, and focuses in on the hawk that was no doubt watching them from a tree and they meet eye to eye.
But then, behind the hawk, off in the distance, Sukira see's a large group of monkey like creatures quickly coming their way.
Sukira now sees that the hawk was trying to warn them as she yells out; "Were being ambushed!"

13/F/McKinleyville, California Join Date: Apr 2008 | the rain was pelting hard when the 3 ran out, hackles up and spiked in
warning. the monkey creatures were upon them now, screeching in fight. they
were large and dark, arranged in a pack of about 20. they flailed their arms
and glinted their teeth and sharp nails.
Sukira could see that Gan and Kida could fight, they were large and strong,
and she was still only a pup. she growled a warning, learning as her friends
roared.
as soon as her hopes were up, feeling like no one could take them down,
another round of monkeys came down, making the army ahead 50.
Sukira felt uneasy now. her eyes almost popped out of her head.
what were they going to do?

16/M/Welland, Canada Join Date: Mar 2008 | As the army of monkeys (that sounds odd) came closer, Gan's mysterious abilities came to life and the material that surrounded him lunged him forward into the pack of wild simians. As he flew through the air he managed to grab one of the creatures and pin it down. Kida lunged at the monkey closest to her and started swatting it with her claws. Sukira suddenly felt an overwhleming sense come over her, and as her supernatural abilities still permitted her to see clearly in the dark, she snarled at the closest monkey and tackled it, using her wings to give her a height advantage. Gan lashed out his claws piercing the creatures, listening to their awful screams bellow through the trees. The material helped of course by acting as a guardian for Gan, slashing away at any monkeys who would try to come at him from behind. Kida with her cat-like agility managed to pounce from one monkey to the other, subduing it and leaving it unconcious or dead. Sukira with her wings flapping wildly, intimidated some of the creatures into leaving; the rest that came at her faced the mighty fury of her sharp kanine teeth. The fighting continued throughout most of the night until daybreak, when the monkeys finally started to retreat to where they came from.
"Brutus Simius" Gan said out of breath.
"What's that?" Sukira asked.
"A professional term for Baboon Brutes - nasty little monkeys with an overactive temper" Kida replied.
"What did they want?" Sukira asked shocked that she had just made it through the whole night, and having won her first fight, felt really good.
"They cause mischeif and bring grief and terror to those who wander through their territory" Gan said, "the only thing they wanted was a good laugh...instead they found a better fight." Gan looked up at the sky and saw it getting brighter. "We should be on our way, Farnham is dead ahead" as he pointed in a general direction, "and it should take us 'til about mid-day to get there. Let's move." The three continued on their journey, the hawk, still close behind them.

13/F/McKinleyville, California Join Date: Apr 2008 | Sukira, walking between the lioness and the shadow bear, looked over her shoulder at the bird. images of her looking at herself filled her head. she knew she was seeing in the eyes of the hawk. the hawk seemed to notice these powers and turn away irritably. it screeched a high pitch scream and took off towards the dawn, flying directly above the 3. Sukira could see herself and her friends get further away, growing smaller and smaller, until, in a brilliant flash, everything was zoomed in.
looking through her own eyes now, Sukira looked over at Gan, who was pacing impishly on a hurt paw. the claw was bent sideways. she could feel pain rising up her foreleg. she hardly noticed her limp when she stole a glance at Kida.
a thought shot through her skull, making her stop and shake her head in pain. what was happening to her mind? some thought about Gan and a feeling of mistrust. what did all this mean.
when she finally realized Gan and Kida were watching her with large eyes.
"im ok..." she forced, getting up of the wet, cold ground. her side hurt almost as much as her head, but she got up and followed them still, forcing her cheer to come back.

16/M/Welland, Canada Join Date: Mar 2008 | As they walked out of the forest they saw that they were closer than ever to The Kingdom of Farnham. They could see pillars of smoke and fire springing up from the Pits of Eternity inside the city citadel where workers (no matter who you were) worked all day long digging to the center of the land's core to harness its power.
"What is that?" Sukira asked in shock.
"That, little one is The Kingdom of Farnham" Kida blaintaly said.
"There you will find a thousand terrible things, all of which don't like anybody." Sukira was now getting worried. "But don't worry, you have Kida and I to protect you." Gan gave Sukira a wink and she smiled back.
"So we have to get through there? How?" Sukira was still amazed
"Simple, we cross through the pit, which should take us a few hours, then we climb out and continue on to the cliffs." Sukira wasn't reassured at all.
"But what about the `thousand terrible things`?"
"We kill 'em."
"Alright, whoa! I need to get something straight here. We're about to march into a deep pit full of monsters to get to somewhere to find something that apparently might not even be worth it?"
"Pretty much" said Kida.
"Alright", they continued on and were all now starting to feel tense.

13/F/McKinleyville, California Join Date: Apr 2008 | Sukira wasn't sure about how this was going to work out. she had faced monkeys and won, but they were weaker, fewer, and the 3 were still strong. now they were hurt and tired, hungry, and fighting for something that didn't matter in her eyes. why?
because Gan was a friend.
Sukira realized as they walked to Farnham that they were her first friends, and she loved them more than anything; even the ladybug she chased every morning!
her thoughts focused on the bug, red and small. she felt like that right now, accept for the red part. although she was seriously feeling smaller than ever right now.
they were on a suicidal mission for a something somewhere and it was insanity to try!
she decided that she was insane to do this for acquaintances
and she smiled at that thought, even thought she felt awful. her stomach was twisted in fear. this was big. REALLY BIG! for her to do something like this, at such a young age, with so little experience and skill?
insane...

16/M/Welland, Canada Join Date: Mar 2008 | Kida sensed that something was bothering Sukira, but didn't bother to ask. Gan continued to walk like he was still invincible even though he was in his shadow form and completely vulnerable. All he could think about was finding the something, and how the aquaintances he had made were going to do everything in their power to help him. He thought on this for a second, then stopped. As he turned around, he saw the hawk swoop low right over him and squak. Both Kida and Gan looked at Sukira, figuring that she understood what the hawk had said. Sukira didn't know and they preceeded. The hawk came back and squaked again.
"Can't you speak another language?" Gan blurted out knowing that what he had asked was impossible of a hawk and sounded quite odd. Then it clicked in with Sukira; she recognized the squak and told the others that there was danger up ahead, just like in the forest.
"Perhaps the monkeys again?" Sukira asked hoping that one of them would affirm her, but both shook their heads.
"The baboons wouldn't travel this far out, it's something else...something more dangerous." Sukira was feeling unsure of herself again, but they kept on going, getting closer towards Farnham until finally they had reached the gate. The place was in ruins and the gate was covered in a hundred-year-old rust. "No need to knock then" Gan said sarcastically, and walked in, followed by Kida and then by Sukira who once again hesitated entering a strange and ominous place. What would they discover in this new palace of treachery, fear, and hate?

16/M/Welland, Canada Join Date: Mar 2008 | As Kida annoyingly allowed the bird to perch atop her head, there came an echoing and frighting sound of someone in pain.
"They're working hard today." Gan said with a grim face. "Once we find the something, we'll come back and free these slaves."
"Will it help?" Sukira asked.
"It's the only thing that will work." They walked to the edge of the pit and the hawk flew away.
"What an annoying little pe...thing" Kida said.
"It's been helpful though. I'm sure it'll be back as well" Sukira said, "and when it does, it'll only bring with it more danger...so how do we clear this pit without getting caught by the workers?"
"Well" Gan replied, "because the workers are under a trance until midnight, we can easily sneak past them as they work, just don't disturb any of them or they'll snap out of it and turn vicious."
"What happens if we don't make it through before midnight?"
"We'll be trapped in the chaos that ensues after midnight. At that time, the trance wears off and they become blood-thristy cannibals." Both Kida and Sukira made a loud gulping sound. "Better get going then, the sun is high in the sky and it'll only keep going." The three of them started to head down the steep hill into the pit, hoping not to lose their grip and plummit to their death.

25/F/Orlando, Florida Join Date: Dec 2007 | As they made their way carefully down to the pit, Sukira noticed Kida's agility and Gans courage and calmness despite his size. Even though Sukira was no stranger to the art of climbing up and down cliffs, she was still anxious because she didn't want to have to use her wings before she actually knew how to use them. They reached the pit and started to carefully make their way through.
They made their way through the zombified workers ever so carefully. Bumping into some but not too hard. The workers took no notice of them, they didn't seem to notice anything as if merely sleepwalking, guided by a sombre dream as they just wandered about as lifeless souls whose corpses were controlled by some kind of dark sorcery.
As they made they're way through Gan had the look of pity for the grim scene. Kida had a controlled look of anger and disappointment, a look of which you could tell she has seen this before. Sukira was simply awe struck at what she was seeing, though she heard of stories of people misusing their powers, she never imagined something on this scale. Who would enslave such a multitude of souls and in such a discouraging manner? Her fear was neutralized by her companions as always. She knew that they were not reckless or just seeking a worthless... something, but that if they could undo this kind of treachery even in the smallest manner, that would be a great something.
They finally made it out of the pit and into a gentle forest with not much vegetation but offered a resting point for them to recover. They could see the great gates of Farnham off in the distance.
Sukira: Ok we made it, can we just rest a moment, I really need it.
Gan: But you're fine, you weren't injured were you?
Sukira: No but, I feel... I don't know.
Kida: You feel more than just your own feelings, but that of others as well. If you focus on something to much, you feel something you shouldn't.
Sukira: Yea, something like that, exactly like that. Do you think it has something to do with the hawk?
Kida: The power of the empath, I've heard of this ability, it is extremely rare... but then, such things are a usual occurance with you.
Gan: Then you must have felt our injuries after the fight, that's why you faltered as you did though you had no injuries.
Sukira: As exciting as all this is, I miss my lady bug, all I ever felt was her playfulness... Her playfulness! With this ability can I feel the joy of others as well?
Kida: It's best you not empower this ability until you've mastered the skill to control it, limit it to only what you will.
Sukira: But that means it wasn't just me. You guys are hurt!
Gan: Nothing for you to concern yourself with, I am accustom to these minor injuries.
Kida: Just the same, let us recover before we enter the gates of Farnham, we may need our full strength.
"Oh Yeay, another adventure, I just can't wait" Sukira says sarcastically as the group find a place to recover.

13/F/McKinleyville, California Join Date: Apr 2008 | "screeeeeeech!"
all 3 friends rose their heads to the sound of the hawk's call. Kida was the
first to call out; "what is it, hawk?"
the hawk spread it's wings and took off towards the city behind them. it was
only when each one of their eyes adjusted that they saw it.
the workers. an army of workers, their eyes were sunk to the back of their
heads, white and almost invisible. their skin was peeling and gray. and they
all carried tools in their skinny fingers, tools that had sharp, thick edges.
they were under attack...
they all hopped to their feet, but it seemed that all the workers were there;
and that meant thousands.
Gan pounced in without a second thought, batting the zombies down. his
large claws sliced the skin, but the blood was gone, soul sucked dry.
Kida jumped on to the back of one who had risen their club to strike Gan with
sharp metal spikes.
Sukira was scared to death. her paws wouldn't move. she tried to force them
to go, but ended up tripping and falling on her chest.
when she got up to her haunches, 10 workers were leaning over her with evil
grins. they looked sad, but also scarier than hell.
She jumped on one of them, tearing into it's neck with brutal force. the others
were coming in, grouping up on each of them. Sukira took a chance and
jumped back. looking past the army, she saw Kida, bloody and hurt, backed
up, turning transparent, hissing and clawing anyone near her.
Gan was was forced back against a tree, roaring and batting the enemy with
his hurting claws.
it seemed like they were done for, when a dark, almost silvery slice went
down through the air, killing 10 workers at a time. it never stopped bouncing
around on nighttime air and killing ruthlessly.
Sukira closed her eyes. she could see a dark mouth biting down on a wrist,
tasted the blood, before she felt everything move to the next piece of prey.
she knew it wasn't her doing this, but the silver slice...
she felt like a hawk....
