Have you tried using AdWords? It's very easy to get started and they have great tutorials. Plus you control costs by prepaying so there are no surprises.

people say that a squido page helps? I believe it does but they are such a pain in the a** to setup I have mine on hold just now as my computer may be able to beat me in matters of programing on even the simplist level but it would be no match for me at kickboxing!

Also I have noticed that being on here helps with your google ranking aswell so make sure your username on here is maybe your website name or a tthe least your website name is in your signature.
