First i want to say i DO NOT want this to turn into a is it right or wrong agrument so if that is your intent do not even post please.

K i have to write an informative speech and the teacher really wants us to use emotional topics that spark interest. So last cla** he brought up drinking age and abortion just to show us how to come to an agreement on contraversal topics, like for instance with abortion, we came to an agreement that it would be good all around if the abortion rate was lower this year then last year.

but what got me is that the main people that were making agruements in cla** on whether they agreed or disagreed with abortion, was their agruing points which were mainly rape as a reason to keep it legal and that is only like 1% of the population that gets abortions and then that there is always adoption.

So i am going to right my speech on adoption, and foster homes, and talk about over crowding and the way the system is run and stuff.

So what i need help with is: is there anyone on here that was adopted or lived in a foster home or any kind of place for kids put up for adoption, like what it was like and how you feel about it, and stuff like that.

I am going to work in some statistics and stuff like that

He also wants the introduction to grab the listeners attention and it is best to start personal so i am trying to think of a way i can link this to my own life which i dont think will be to hard, because my brothers girlfriend has some horror stories about foster home and what not.

so if anyone has any ideas, or stories that would be nice, thanks

can't imagine anything worse than knowing your 'mum' gave you for adoption, imagine how that would make you feel?

it is really hard to find acurate stats for adoption,

when you say think of how i would feel, it depends on the situation that is what makes this speech so hard, because if my real mom was a drug attict or something then giving me up to a better family was the right thing cause i had a better life. This is going to be really hard lol
