I can't really rhyme
but I plan to some time
put out something sublime (I forgot what that meant)
and maybe I'll make a dime
I guess it's worth a try
even if I fail to fly
perhaps someone will buy
the essence of my
half-effort attempt
or I'll be exempt
from earning my dough (doe?)
even if it comes in slow
eventually I'll run the show
while you're in the club gettin' low
while the dj's d-jaying
yes, the dj is playing
what I once was praying
that it would someday be weighing
to something worth staying
on your radio station
likewise across the nation
and I'm earning my ration
but for now I'll be patient
and see if it weighs in.
I abstinated last night. It was incredible!
