KFC is part of Yum! which is a publicly traded (and therefore owned) company that was spun off from Pepsi, who used to own KFC (along with Taco Bell and Pizza Hut - which is why Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC are among the only major fast food chains that serve Pepsi instead of Coca-Cola products).
