well some of there songs are good but the band not the singer was a christian band called P.O.D

Evanescence have been around since the start of this whole fad. They are like
Placebo, basically one of the original "Emo" bands that sparked off all the angsty
teeny-boppy bands you see today.
Evanescence can't be "wannabe" Emos, they set the path for it. Btw, can a band
be angsty and not be named emo at some point? Just saying…

Also I dunno about the POD thing

I honestly LOVE evanescence. Musically, their very simple but vocally their just
mind-blowing. I don't think I know someone with as much power in their voice
as her.

Placebo aren't emo

Brian Molko would probably slap you if you told him that. Anyway, emo started in the 80's from hardcore music. Also, I don't think Evenescence ever thought themselves as emo, nor do they have any emo influence, they are just very poor commercial nu metal.

Well I actually like POD and Evanescense.....Amy Lee has a great voice, unlike some people in the same genre of music. I dont care what she looks like though. Im not goth, emo, or punk and I love her music. She's good at it and she sings her own stuff.
