in the shower

one day i was taking a shower and some water sprayed onto the towel leaving it quite damp, and when my brother came in he felt the towel and said

brother: what do you use a towel for?
me: to dry myself, why else?
brother: ooo, sorry i didnt realize you were a sponge!

there arent any shower curtains in my house, and so the water sprayed further than just in the shower, my brother called me a sponge coz he thought i might as well have the towel in the shower with me, i just found his attitude funny

the fact he called you a sponge doesn't make sense with the explanation you gave...

if you try to dry a wet sponge with a towel, the towel is going to pretty much as wet as the sponge afterwards

and my brother called me a sponge because i was in the shower and i usually have the towels closer to the shower when i'm in there

i found his attitude funny and i thought you would too, so i thought it would qualify to go in the jokes forum

it might make more sense if we had known why it was funny.....

im still wondering why you have no shower curtains.
