55/M/Winnipeg, Canada Join Date: Jul 2007 | What do folks here do to keep their immune system strong? There is a lot of different information out there. I think one thing is eating habits. One thing I discovered, is that too much sugar depresses the immune system. Now comes the hard part. If you really want to quit sugar, it's hard finding food that doesn't have it. I eat a lot of fresh veggies,no junk food, no pop(full of sugar, and other bad stuff) Cut back on starchy food especially bread. No white bread at all. I find, I don't get sick anymore. When I feel something coming on, I take fresh garlic, echinacea and grapeseed extract. Gone in a couple of days. used to be sick a lot.
