There is this little boy at my work called Franky. Everyday he comes to my office thinking he has a new disease. The poor child is convinced he is going to die from a horrible disease any second now. Today he came in and said his liver shut down because his stomach hurts. Yesterday he came in and just knew he had brain cancer because he had a headache. I wish his paretns would take him to see a therapist so he would stop worrying himself sick.

People think I'm a hypochondriac. although sadly I am always sick, and it's never just the cold. But I don't go on about it and I never make it worse than it is...when I have a pain I take it as just heartburn or something.
I think it's no way to live your life when you worry.

aww poor kid, how old is he? I would advise his parents, maybe he needs medication for this? This kid really thinks he has something wrong with him, it must be horrible to worry about something everyday in his head stressing himself out, not healthy at all..

He's only 9 years old. I need to send a note home to his parents but I would think they would know about his problem.

I do worry about him. At his age his only worries should be getting through the morning and making it to recess. I don't like to see a child so stressed out all of the time.

I forgot you work with little kids, to me a kid is a teenager - old dinosaur that i am!

How does he know so much about medical terminology? I know some kids just go through a phase when they think they are dying of something. I would find out if he has always been like it through his school records and his parents.

You have to be careful of s*** like Munchausen's by proxy i your job!

I think the right people should be informed of this matter. Talking about it won't solve anything.
