if your a musician how long have you been playing for. eg

january 1998 - december 2007 guitar

if you dont play a instrument do you know someone who has play'd for a long time and is not someone who reply'd to this.

Alto saxaphone for 1 year.
Tenor saxaphone for 3 months (already competing on it).
Baritone saxaphone for 6 months.
Ba** clarinet for 4 years.

Chanter for 3 years.
Oboe for 1 year.

So You seem to be majoring on one instrument mostly. AM I right?
