A smile is good, but sometimes not enough. Throw in a little wave to go with it. That's pretty cut and dry, even for a guy.

If you want to get a guys attention, make lotsa movement in the corner of your eye like your legs, or your arms, maybe play with your hair haha thats what girls do when I wont look at them! if he's not intimidated by confident, strong intelligent women - then just walk up and introduce yourself. if he's interested, then let him lead. if he plays games, (Please stay, go away..) or just isn't your type, find someone else.
